Overview:

This internship position will assist Zion National Park staff with the conversion of older media to a digital format for park archives. This work will be based at Zion National Park.

Responsibilities:

  • The intern will be responsible for working with park media and archival staff to select media to be added to NPGallery.

  • The intern will add metadata according to archival standards so that the files are searchable using Microsoft Explorer or similar software.

  • The intern will also develop and record audio-descriptions for select media for upload publicly.

  • Knowledge of hardware and software available at the park is a bonus.

Qualifications:

The intern should work well under supervision and be able to work both independently and with feedback from a small team environment.
